Artist Bio
Amanda Arnaud began her early dance training in her home country Switzerland where she was a competitive Modern & Jazz dancer. She received many prizes including the Swiss Championship title at the Modern & Jazz dance Swiss National Championships.
Additionally, she was trained classically in the RAD Royal Academy of Dance method and completed all the vocational exams up to Advanced 2. After performing as the lead in Tanzpelette’s ‘Cinderella’ she got accepted into the Gelsey Kirkland Academy of classical Ballet in NYC where she graduated in 2018.
Under the direction of the legendary Gelsey Kirkland and Michael Chernov she had the opportunity to perform a big variety of the traditional classical repertoire including Swan lake, Sleeping Beauty, The nutcracker, Le Corasire and Raymonda. Upon her graduation she accepted her first professional contract with the United States International Ballet in Wilmington, NC under the artistic direction of Walter Angelini & Ines Albertini. During her season with USIB she performed several full lengths ballets including Vampires, The Nutcracker, Alice in Wonderland and A Midsummer Night’s dream.
Amanda later joined the New York Dance Project in NYC while also attending the Steps on Broadway International Program at the same time. With NYDP she had the opportunity to perform a wide range of dance styles including classics such as Swan Lake, Raymonda and Arpino’s Birthday variations in addition to new contemporary and neoclassical works choreographed by would class choreographers such as Danielle Diniz, Brittany Markle and Maddie Hicks. Multiple performances were held at public outdoor spaces in order to bring back live performances to NYC during
the pandemic.
Since 2021 Amanda has been a company dancer with the Russian Ballet Orlando, FL and a faculty member of the Russian Ballet Orlando academy. Since joining the company she has performed over 10 productions of full length ballets including Swan Lake, Esmeralda, The Nutcracker, Carmen, Romeo & Juliet, Coppelia and Don Quichotte among others. She had the opportunity to perform many principal/soloist roles including “Diana & Acteon” in Esmeralda, “Death” in Carmen, the third shade in La Bayadere, Cupid in Don Quichotte, Dawn in Coppelia, Pas d’Esclave from Le Corsaire, Aurora in Sleeping Beauty and the Flames of Paris pas de deux.
Most recently, Amanda has also performed as a guest dancer for Continental ballet Company in Bloomington, MN.
Finally…
I’ve personally enjoyed working with Amanda on various projects and have benefited from her professionalism in the dance industry.
Additionally, I'm delighted to have assisted her in securing a position at the Continental Ballet.
